Image Sensing Chip for Industrial Lens:
CCD sensing chips are commonly used in industrial lens, which lead to cameras with high sensitivity and low noise. Moreover, CCD industrial camera has the following three features:
1, With Global shutter
2, Two different types: B&W or color.
3, Long-term stock is available.
At the meantime, more and more CMOS sensing chip are used to the industrial camera area. Due to the low cost, it can effectively reduce the overall cost of machine vision applications. But the rolling shutter of the most CMOS cameras limits its application area.
No image processing
Digital sensing chip can convert some physical and chemical properties (such as temperature, acidity, etc.) to digital signal. Without any analysis of these properties, digital sensitive chip just convert it to digital signal as accurate as possible. Essentially, industrial lens is a device converting the photon signal into digital signal which we so call here image. These images do not necessarily look beautiful. In the field of industrial machine vision, it only requires that light signals are converted to electrical signals the as much as possible. Therefore, the industrial camera will not beautify the picture. In the same way, the machine vision field should try to avoid the compression of the image, only the output raw data.
Manual setting:
Users should set the sensing clip by themselves. So camera parameters (such as exposure, gain, etc.) are controlled by users.
Lens:
Machine vision technology is extensively applied. Therefore, most of the industrial cameras were sold without lens but with base. Two type bases are available: C and CS. Besides, microscope, telescope, endoscope, etc. are available to be sold.
I/O digital interface:
Industrial cameras With I/O digital interface can not only to capture the image, but also to interact with the machine. I/O digital interface is commonly used in external trigger so that camera captures the image according to the external event trigger shutter. The typical application is installing grating on the conveyor belt, and put the industrial camera on the side. Once target object passes through the grating trigger pulse signal, then the camera capture the image.
Programming interface:
Industrial camera is digital image sensing devices. Its signal (that's image) is analyzed by computer. Before analysis, the first thing is to set the camera's parameters and capture the image. Usually, machine vision requires the integration of camera control, image acquisition and image analysis. Programming interface is offered by industrial camera manufacturer. It’s specific and will be used to control camera and capture image.
Long-term stability:
Machine vision is applied to industrial production first. Not only all kinds of components in the field must keep up with the trend of the technology, but also ensure long-term supply. So a modular component and standardized interface are applied commonly.
